Ellie Kwan, class of 2027
rain was pouring
everywhere, but you stayed
awhile by my
side, holding
onto that umbrella,
not quite
sure when we
intended to depart,
looming so tall
over my shoulder, the
vague scent of
evergreens hinting at
your blissful
oblivion to my
unadulterated, unreciprocated, unexpected sentiments.
heyyy, it's ellie! i'm currently a junior, but i wrote this poem as a sophomore while i was supposed to be taking notes for math (whoops)! who knew derivatives and concavity could be so inspiring?
