Ava Cha, class of 2026
I need to show my voice
I need to because others wouldn’t
All that I am hearing is noise
Noise that is rolling over all of MY emotions
My thoughts
My ideas
I feel the need to express
Express what I believe in
The world is in distress, no one will show their voice
They all have a choice but no one is willing
The world needs people to convey their passion
Young persons need to take action
I need to show my voice
But showing my voice takes imagination
I need the satisfaction of what to use this voice for
What will I fight for
What I might have courage to share
I have a voice but I am afraid
Afraid people will judge me
I need the nudge to express what I am feeling
My voice a great tool
The tool I need to make it in this cruel world
Everyone has a voice
Most don’t have the strength to use it
Including myself
The world need us to show our voice
We have the power to voice how the world should be!
As a writer, I aim to capture everyday experiences through my writing, showing how even the smallest moments carry meaning. I’m especially interested in exploring how our individualism as humans effect of daily. My work seeks to turn the ordinary into something vivid, helping readers slow down and notice what they might otherwise overlook.
